		<description>This is quite eye opening. I always thought that the rotation of the Earth on its axis and the speed at which it travels through space would distort the light rays as they travel through space to the cornea.</description>

Interesting theory - I guess you are talking about absorbtion - this is a phenomenon that can be used to determine the elements that a star is made of. But as far as I know this has nothing to do with the twinkling...
