  1. I recommend to everyone to check out the Impact: Earth! site. It allows you simulating the asteroid impacts on the Earth. You can setup many parameters like the angle, speed, diameter and so on of the asteroid. It returns you the possible effects of that. It’s really cool.

  2. We can put Sky Globe 3.6 or Starry Night Pro software in this category. These use awesome graphics and work at any latitude.

  3. it’s a shame that a lot of astronomy software is only available for Windows. Users like myself have trouble on Macs.

    I didn’t know about Sky Globe, thanks for sharing and yes, I’d second Zap that we need more for Mac. Though, I am glad I use Windows and it helps me to stay out of such trouble at times. On the contrary, there are softwares that only work on Mac πŸ˜›
